Winter self-defence camp 21-23 February

Self-defence doesn't start with fending off an attack - if you've got this far, you've probably made several mistakes along the way. But now, at Seijin Dojo's winter camp, you can learn how to recognise danger early and prepare yourself physically and mentally to defend yourself effectively.

This is not a conventional training. The emphasis here will not be on "perfect techniques", but on how to go beyond your own limits and stay empowered under pressure. You're guaranteed to be pushed out of your comfort zone, but in return you'll gain a lifetime of experience - whether you have a martial arts background or not.

What's in store for you at the camp?

Theoretical preparation:

• Understanding aggression, stress and the behaviour of the aggressor
• Avoiding "victim" behaviour
• Developing the right mental and spiritual state (zanshin, mushin, fudoshin)

Practical training:

• Recognising and preventing an attack. How do we read the attacker's intentions?
• Defence against attackers. The basics of effective self-defence in real situations.
• Ground fighting basics. What to do when you hit the ground?
• Fight in the dark. Vision impairment is no obstacle if you are properly prepared!
• Self-defence against an armed attacker. What are your options against an armed attacker?

Why you should participate?

The camp is not only about improving your martial arts skills, but also about becoming more mentally and emotionally prepared for unexpected situations. The theoretical curriculum will be complemented with practical situations, as empirical learning is the most effective way to gain real experience.

For whom are we recommended?

• For complete beginners who want to learn the basics of self-defence.
• For intermediates who want to deepen their knowledge and are looking for a challenge.
• For anyone who wants to improve and push themselves beyond their limits.

Participation Fees (with advance payment)

Prices include participation from Friday to Sunday, 2 nights' accommodation in a tent or stone house and 6 meals:

• Seijin Dojo members: 37.500 HUF
• For Seijin Dojo members with a student discount: 32.000 Ft
• For outsiders: 43.000 HUF
• For outsiders with student discount: 37.000 HUF

Day tickets:

• Friday: 15.000 HUF (training, dinner, accommodation)
• Saturday: 22.500 HUF (training, meals, accommodation)
• Sunday: 19.000 HUF (training, meals)

Payment until February 12th at Seijin Dojo during the training sessions (Mon-Fri 17:30-20:00) or by bank transfer.

After 12 February or paid on the spot the total participation fee is one unit:

Accommodation options

• Camping: The possibility of camping is included in the price. Kitchen and bathroom are available in the stone house. Accommodation for the evening is limited, so please bring a tent if you can.
• Stone house accommodation: Located in the village, where approx. Accommodation can be booked for HUF 3,500/night. (We will help you manage this.)
